Exorcity Madrid Monumental is an architectural and urban design millennial speculation developed by the last year's MArch students of the School of Architecture at the Technical University of Madrid. The course served as the main studio workshop for the realization of the students' final thesis projects under a common theme: unconventional monuments for a dispersed city. A typographic landscape across the railway entrance of Atocha station, an infrastructural ring beyond the M-30 beltway, or an institutional bunker under an existing IKEA warehouse are some of these detailed and materially informed fictions for an uncertain political future. All of the projects were showcased in a yearbook publication curated and edited by the tutors Elvira Carrión and Policarpo Baquera, sponsored by Madrid City Council, and published by TC Cuadernos.
