Gratitude Canvas is a series of digital installations that activate the entire hospital space into a place of gratitude for nurses and doctors. It allows people to leave words of gratitude for nurses by sending a text message, and it thanks them in unexpected places.
The first prototype will allow nurses and doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital’s anesthesia department to send gratitude messages to a dedicated number, displayed next to a series of thin digital screens. All incoming messages are automatically moderated by an AI filtering algorithm and then are presented in beautiful motion across the screens. Throughout the day the screens come alive with the entire collection of messages.
